The “Flyer 5” is a PreK-12 Character Initiative to promote and communicate our district’s core foundational character traits to all students, staff, parents, and patrons. The message and common verbiage connects everyone.
Vision
At the core of this idea is the concept that we are all connected. The “Flyer Five” provides a consistent and clear district-wide focus on character to all students in a way that positively promotes the district and our expectations.
Objectives
Establish a long-term approach to the importance of student character traits.
Create long-term feelings of “connection” across the district.
Create common verbiage / tool for school staff when working with students but will not impact current programs or approaches used in buildings.
Provide every student with positive reinforcement of fundamental character traits.
Outfit every student and staff member with Chester Flyer gear that promotes our district’s core foundational character traits.
