Chester Area School District 39-1 -

The Chester Area School District, in addition to providing a high-quality traditional education to resident and open enrolled PK-12th grade students, offers three non-traditional educational opportunities; Cyber, Alternative, or Virtual, to South Dakota students as follows:

• Chester Cyber School provides high school classes to Hutterite Colony students across South Dakota.  Enrollment is only available through the colony hierarchy.  Click link for more information.

• High Plains Alternative School(HPA) provides high school classes to non-Hutterite students across South Dakota either onsite or online, with that determined by the student’s resident distance from Chester.  Enrollment is via open enrollment to the Chester Area School District.  Click link for more information.

• Virtual online classes are provided as part of the South Dakota Department of Education Center for Virtual Education.  Enrollment is only available through the resident school district.  Click link for more information.
